Right on the Net: Competition for the Healthy Use of Technology!
PLEASE READ THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS CAREFULLY!
Welcome to the Bem na Rede Competition website, called Curious ("Platform”)! These Terms of Use (“Terms”) describe the terms and conditions applicable to your access and use of the Platform, which is a legally binding agreement between you as the user(s) of the Platform (hereinafter referred to as "you" or "user") and Juntô! together with Felipe Neto Institute (hereinafter also referred to as “we”, “us”, “our”) for you participation in the Bem na Rede Competition (“Competition”).
For the avoidance of doubt, the Competition is a free, skill-based contest and is not a “commercial promotion” for purposes of Brazilian Law No. 5.768/1971. Winners are not selected by luck, chance, or random draw; participants are evaluated against the determined criteria established in the Competition Manual. No purchase or payment is required to enter or win. Accordingly, no authorization from the competent Brazilian authorities is required or being sought.
1. Introduction
1.1. For purposes of this project, the Competition invites young people aged 16 to 20 to create a short, simple website with the aim of helping other young people develop healthier digital habits. You will be presented to a Consent Form, which must be filled in by you or by your legal representatives (if you are under 18 years old) for your participation in the Competition.
1.2. The challenge of this first edition is to create ideas that help children and teenagers use technology in a safer and more positive way — strengthening self-confidence, raising awareness, and giving them more control over how they use the internet in their daily lives.
1.3. Furthermore, projects can consider ways to make interventions relevant to diverse Brazilian realities – whether urban or rural, indigenous communities, quilombolas, riverside communities, favelas, or peripheral areas – recognizing that each territory has unique ways of living and accessing technology.
1.4. This type of quick, 10-minute intervention is called a Single Session Intervention (“SSI”). They're so named because they don't require multiple meetings or lengthy follow-ups to generate impact, but even though they're short, they can bring significant benefits to people. To learn more about SSIs, please visit the “What is a Single-Session Intervention?[PNA1] ” document we have prepared.
1.5. For detailed information on the Competition, including instructions on how to develop and submit your SSI, prizes involved in the Competition, SSI’s requirements and evaluation and selection criteria may be found in the Competition Manual[PNA2] . Please read the Competition Manual carefully before submitting your SSI.
